Leo Perra
Chief Operating Officer
Leo brings 35 years experience as an educator and administrator
in B.C.’s post-secondary education
system — including 20 years as president and
CEO of Selkirk College in Castlegar, B.C. He also served as
vice-principal and acting-principal of Cariboo College.
In addition to his extensive management and administration
experience in the education system, Leo has served in many
capacities on provincial and regional committees.
Leo’s academic credentials include a PhD in
information systems from Nova University in Fort Lauderdale,
Florida; an MA in administrative leadership from Simon Fraser
University; and a B.Ed from the University of Alberta,
Edmonton.
Among his many recognitions and awards, Leo has been honoured
with the Order of British Columbia (2001).
A bum knee now prevents Leo from indulging in his real passions:
skiing and gardening. But he enjoys keeping in touch with his many
friends around the globe via the Internet. If you ever invite Leo
over for coffee, you should know he loves big mugs; no sissy tea
cups for this big guy!
