The first task for members of the Citizens' Assembly in 2004 was
to learn about, and study, electoral systems
that are in use around the world. That includes the one now in use
in B.C.
This "Learning Phase" ran for six full weekends, from
January to March. The sessions were held at the Morris
J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue, 580 West Hastings Street, in downtown
Vancouver. Here is an
overview
of the Learning Phase.
We posted on this site the educational materials
used. To accompany all this, we also offer from time to
time other educational material of interest. You can
access all these educational items through the menu at left.
We also offer some easy-to-read educational "
fact sheets" that we
hope will help the debate on electoral reform issues.
