Is Assembly membership representative of the diversity of B.C.?Potential members of the Assembly were randomly selected from
the voters list with thought to geographic, age and gender
diversity. The aim was to begin with a pool of potential members
who were representative of British Columbians. The final selection
of members, including two additional members from the Aboriginal
population, was done by random draw from that
pool. Assembly members are British Columbians,
representing all British Columbians.
