Shaw TV's "Voice of B.C." show, on Shaw Cable at 8 p.m., will be
about the Assembly and its work. Host Vaughn Palmer's guests will
be Gordon Gibson, the initial architect of the Assembly, and Ian
McKinnon, former senior civil servant and former president of a
national public opinion research company. You can also see the show
repeated on Shaw Cable on Saturday at 10 a.m. and on
Sunday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

At 6:45 a.m., Assembly members Julie Boehmer and Brad
Yee will be on CBC Radio's Early Morning Show
(host: Rick Cluff), at AM-690 on your dial. Assembly
members Wendy Bergerud and Darren Van Reyen are guests on CBC
Radio's On the Island show (host: David Grierson) at 7:15
a.m. Based in Victoria, the show is heard on CBC all over Vancouver
Island. Members Ann Davis and Norm Womacks are on Phil
Johnson’s radio show on CKFR Kelowna at 8:10. Assembly
member Shoni Field is on the Bill Good show on CKNW
(AM980) and the Corus radio network in B.C. at 8:30 a.m. At 9 a.m.,
Assembly member Tom Townrow hits a student audience on the B.C.
Institute of Technology radio station. And at 12:10 p.m. in the
afternoon, Assembly members Jill Reilly and Craig Henschel are
guests on CBC Radio's B.C. Almanac (host: Mark Forsythe). At
4 p.m., member Michael Pritchard will be a guest on CBC Radio's
All Points West program (host: Jo-Ann
Roberts). Produced in Victoria, the show is heard all
over B.C. on CBC Radio One. At 6 p.m., member Darren Van Reyen is
on VI's TV News. Member Anna Rankin will be on CBC
Radio's national As it Happens show tonight, some time between 6:30
and 8 p.m. And at 8:05 p.m, Ken Carty, the Assembly's director of
research, is on NightlineBC (host: Michael Smyth) on CKNW
(AM980) and the Corus radio network in B.C.
Jack Blaney on Rafe Mair show25-OCT-2004 -
Assembly chair Jack Blaney is a guest on the Rafe Mair radio
show on CKBD-AM600 in the Lower Mainland. Starting at 9 a.m., Rafe
will devote an hour to the decision reached Sunday by the Assembly
on its basic recommendation, and will take calls from
listeners.
Fourth deliberation weekend (Day Two)24-OCT-2004 -
Assembly members vote on the basic recommendation they will make
to the people of B.C. -- whether B.C.
should stick with the current electoral system
or whether voters should consider a new one.
This concludes the fourth weekend of their "Deliberation Phase",
leading to a final report that must be produced by December 15.

In Kelowna, Assembly chair Jack Blaney is a
phone-in guest on Phil Johnson's "TalkABOUT" show on Kelowna radio
station CKFR-1150AM. The show runs from 8 a.m. - 9 a.m. Jack will
be on at 8:10, and Phil will take calls from listeners.
