nomination

Nomination is the process of fulfilling the requirements for becoming a candidate at an election.  It has two components: an official component requiring the candidate to fulfil the formal requirements specified under the Election Act (British Columbia) , and a partisan component requiring a candidate who wants to run under a party label to gain the endorsement of a party.
