federalThe term federal is used in two ways: ‘the federal
government’ refers to the national government in
Ottawa. But as an adjective derived from federalism,
federal government is a way of dividing government so that there
are two spheres of government activity, a national one with
responsibility for services which relate to for the whole country,
and several regional governments called states or provinces to look
after regional concerns.
