The cabinet is a meeting of the premier and the ministers who together make key decisions about government administration and policy.  Even though the cabinet plays a central role in the operation of parliamentary government in British Columbia, the responsibilities and operation of the cabinet are not written down in any formal constitutional document; see constitution ; executive ; government ).
