Abstract
I support the Proportional Representation system similar to the one in New Zealand [MMP] although I believe that it would have to be slightly modified to represent the the unique character of British Columbia. [1 page]

It is quite obvious to most citizens of this province that our governments place corporate interests above those of people. This has spawned what I and many others consider to be a corporate dictatorship. I don't know when, exactly, corporations began to have more rights than people, but this seems to be the case. Partly, this has more to do with the legal system and less to do with politics, but if governments were responsible, this situation would not have occurred. There seems to be little will on the part of any government to rectify this situation.

Therefore I am supporting the Proportional Representation system similar to the one in New Zealand although I believe that it would have to be slightly modified to represent the the unique character of British Columbia.
I also think that any new system should exclude corporate political donations and influence peddling (lobbying) that interferes with true democracy as exists today.
