Abstract
A mixed system that encompasses local representation and proportional representation [MMP] would work for BC. Voting twice would allow me to pick the best local representative and to choose the party closest to my political ideals. [1 page]

Submission Content
I beleive that a mixed system that encompasses local representation and proportional representation [MMP] would work for BC, if not all of Canada.

Voting twice would allow me to pick the best local representative and my own political ideals. Given that every vote in the proportional arena would count towards representation, I beleive that people would not feel as much pressure to vote stratigically.

While it is probably not a violation of our constituion, I believe that it is a violation of the intent of our constitution that so many votes end up in no representation at all in the first past the post system.

I believe that all British Columbians would be better served if a proportional system was used in BC and that it would serve to control the power of the sitting government by making compromise and communication more necessary in our legislature.
