I think voter apathy is an enormous problem in BC today. Many people I talk to see no reason to vote because they don't think it will make any difference. This is especially common with people who are at odds with the political slant of their riding. Moving toward a Mixed Member Proportional [MMP] system would give people more reason to vote because every vote would have a direct impact on the final representation.
