Abstract
My vote has been only a token of support, rather than real support for the party I want to see govern BC. I strongly support MMP; it would be hugely satisfying to have my vote(s) actually count toward something. [1 page]

I haved lived in Langley for the past 8 years. During provincial and federal elections I have felt frustrated by the reality that my personal vote 'goes into the wind'. Since the riding I'm in votes overwhelmingly in one direction (a direction I don't vote for), I feel my vote becomes only a token of support, rather than real support, for the party I do want to see govern BC. Therefore, for BC, I strongly support the concept of proportional representation as laid out in the MMP (New Zealand system). It would be hugely satisfying to have my vote(s) actually count toward something.
