Abstract
We need a voting system in which everyone's vote will count and mixed member proportional representation [MMP] fills this need. A Single Transferable Voting [STV] system is not as proportional especially in smaller ridings. [1 page]

I am writing to voice my opinion that BC electoral system be changed to Mixed Member Proportional Representation [MMP]. This is the system which will work best for BC. I would like to speak on behalf of BC's young adults and youth. We need a change. Today's youth are disenchanted with the voting system. We need a voting system in which everyone's vote will count and mixed member proportional representation fills this need. A Single Transferable Voting [STV] system is not proportional especially in smaller ridings.

If mixed member proportional representation is adopted, I would be fine with my riding size being larger, as long as one of my two votes is a party vote and allows me fair representation of my political viewpoint. Please let us inspire voters of all ages to renew their voter participation in elections and move our electoral system into the 21st century by adopting mixed member proportional representation. Thank you.
