I do not know how proportional representation works
but I have a great fear of political parties having any
say in our choice of MLAs hence the following:

We should not change the way we vote -- any referendum will lose
if the system is changed.
We should enhance the use of the results of voting.
We should maintain those first past the post as the initial
elected but in addition we should use all the votes which did not
contribute to those winners, so that all votes cast would indeed
elect a representative.
If the results were as follows, the number of reps would be
increased by 50% and awarded as followsparty

These new seats would be allocated to the losers in each party
who had the highest number of votes in their particular party. This
would eliminate any group or person from dictating who should
represent them in the parliament.
