Proportional Representation

I am completely convinced that we should adopt some form of proportional representation to bring more democracy to the people.  Our antiquated voting system dates back to the 19th century in Britain when there were really only 2 parties.  Today we have many points of view and many parties.

Of the many systems of Pro/rep [PR] in the world we can choose which would be best for BC.  The most important aspect of this electoral change is that there should be a direct relationship between seats gained and votes cast.

Wherever this principle has been adopted in the world today, the percentage of eligible voters rise.  The electorate realizes that their votes now count.
