1. First, I am very grateful to all members of the
Assembly for the time and co-operative effort you are putting into
this work.
2. I would strongly support an MMP system, to retain
local representation but also ensure the legislature reflects the
political viewpoints of the population.
3. Given your extensive studies and thorough
discussions, I trust you will agree on the best variant of MMP.
4. Please do agree: it would be the worst of all
worlds to be left with what we now have.
5. Let us then see whether Government keeps is
promise to take your recommendation to referendum.
