I support a change of electoral sytem for British Columbia. The
current system is no longer adapted to modern society,
and creates too much distortion in the assembly when compared to
popular distribution of the vote amongst parties. It gives too much
power to a single party while muting smaller ones which
nevertheless managed to receive a still significant portion of the
popular vote.
When set up properly, a reformed electoral system with proportional
representation [PR] is a better solution. Therefore I support the
implementation of a new proportial representation based system for
BC.
