Abstract

Individuals should be elected, not parties. Individuals would be
able to outline their views for government and, once elected, they
would all have to work together by electing leaders and try to
govern by consensus. [1 page]

Individuals should be elected, not parties. Individuals would be
able to outline their views for government and, once elected, they
would all have to work together by electing leaders and try to
govern by consensus. This would get away from the confrontational
climate presently in politics and also allow all elected members an
equal say. Currently, the leader of the elected party makes all the
decisions with backbenchers voting like sheep and opposition
parties voting against bills.
