Submission Content
Individuals should be elected, not parties. Individuals would be able to outline their views for government and, once elected, they would all have to work together by electing leaders and try to govern by consensus. This would get away from the confrontational climate presently in politics and also allow all elected members an equal say. Currently, the leader of the elected party makes all the decisions with backbenchers voting like sheep and opposition parties voting against bills.
