I want MMP proportional representation because it is more democratic. I am suspicious that any input as to how the government should be elected will be of no use. Politicians are not inclined to vote themselves out of a job. [1 page]

Of course I want MMP proportional representation. At least that is more democratic! I recall Harry Truman saying about politics,"If the kitchen is too hot, get out of the kitchen". I would think that any sensible person would build a better kitchen. MMP is a step in that direction. I have to tell you I have a deep suspicion that any input as to how the government should be elected will be of no use. Politicians are not inclined to vote themselves out of a job, even if it is for the public good.
