Abstract
Party leaders should be chosen directly by the electors and not by parties.  Proportional representation [PR] seems much better and fairer than the current system. [1 page]

We feel that BC needs a better way of voting then what we have to date. I am sorry that we have not heard about the Citizens' Assembly before now, or about any of the hearings, but we would like to suggest this.

We, the electorate should vote in the leader of a party similar to the system in the United States.  This party selected leadership is wrong (it is dictatorship).  We need the right to decide on the leader whether we get the right person depends on the voters not what the party gives us to work with.

Secondly, the party leader should only have two terms of four years (4) each. Granted, since W.A.C.Bennet there have not been any long-term leaders.  There should be a specified date on which to vote provincially; no more of this waiting for the right time or voter confidence as was in the federal election with Paul Martin.

We have heard of this proportional representation [PR] and it seems much better and fairer for all in my honest opinion.  You will certainly have our support.
