Abstract
We should endeavour to have each person's vote have equal weight.  Be careful. Do not fix what is not broken. Don't create new problems when solving old ones. [1 page]

We should endeavour to have each person's vote have equal weight. However, let's not Americanize (as in USA) our system when there are many aspects which have served us well for many years. Ridings should be re-balanced to reflect the number of voters each election. Thus we could avoid the problem of the Quebec vote being worth more than the BC vote.

Be careful. Do not fix what is not broken. Don't create new problems when solving old ones.
