Change is long overdue. Far too many people in BC (and all
Canada) feel antagonism toward or apathetic about our political
process because we feel unrepresented in government, and don't
believe casting a vote will change that. With the current first
past the post system we have an opportunity to put a piece of paper
in a box every few years, but no ongoing participation or
representation in government. Let a change from our
current system to proportional representation [PR] be
our next step toward true participatory democracy.
