Submission Content
I would like to have BC go to a mixed member proportional (MMP) system like the one they have adopted in New Zealand, with two-thirds constituency seats and one-third list seats. This system is straightforward, and would mean a party's share of seats would equal its share of the vote. Our present system effectively disenfranchises many voters.

MPP would tend to lead to a situation in which political parties would have to co-operate, or at least get into dialogue, to achieve their aims. This would be a big improvement over the polarized debate model currently in use in BC.
