I believe that we must move towards proportional representation, therefore my vote is for the MMP system. People want their vote to count.  More women would get elected, and environmental considerations and minority issues would always be considered in discussions in the legislature.

Using the STV system, voters are not fully represented, and there may still be distorted and/or exaggerated results from an election; also vote counting would be very complicated.

As in your statement, I believe that "the outcome of an election should reflect the expressed intentions of citizens as expressed in their votes."  No other system other than one that is proportional will do that. We have seen the huge distortions of power that have occurred using our old FPTP system, and it is time to try a different system: one that will speak to the diversity of issues and needs of our province. Using the MMP system allows us to vote for the party of our choice as well as our favoured local candidate.
