I strongly urge the adoption of some form of proportional representation [PR]. One need look no further than the current provincial government of BC to understand why the current system of "winner takes all" does not serve the needs of a diverse population. Nor does it reflect the wishes of all voters and leads to disenfranchisement as seen reflected in increasingly low voter turnout.
