Proportional representation is needed to create a better system of government in British Columbia.  [1 page]

Submission Content
Until you have "proportional representation" you will always have this one sided way of electing a provincial government. As anyone can see the present way of electing is unbalanced and unfair to the people of BC. If we had more opposition in the house, many of the changes that Premier Campbell is making would have been disputed and argued about. As it is the Liberals are just going ahead with changes that have never been discussed or debated. How do we know that what changes the premier is making are the right ones? There is no way the NDP can prevent the Liberals from just going ahead with some (what might turn out to be disastrous for the province) changes they are making. Campbell has made one serious mistake in Hawaii and was caught, how many more mistakes has he made which at this moment we do not know about. This is why we need to change the present method of electing members of government.
