I would like you to know that I would really value an electoral system that would respect my views in a legislative assembly even if I am not in the majority.  At present only the majority is represented in our riding.  I believe that we need a way for all views to be counted.  At this time, I believe, that a system of proportional representation would give me the best option to achieve this goal.

Often the person elected "wins" with only a slim majority but the other views are forgotten once the member is elected to the house.  I know that we would have to have slightly bigger ridings in order to give some seats to each of the parties in a ratio that they receive general support.  This would be similar to the "at large" school trustee system.  These MLAs would not necessarily look after my geographic area but would pay attention to the principles that they put forward during the election and that the people who voted for them viewed as the best alternative.
