I have been counting on your obvious dedication to performing
your duties as an assembly of actual citizens to honestly look at
all the options, listen to what other citizens have to say, and
then choose what is clearly the most democratic of all voting
systems developed so far, and recommend we go to a Pro. Rep.
system. Then I find out you are adking for submissions regarding an
STV system.
I can only conclude from this that you are either making sure
that you hear from everyone who has been paying
attention, or that someone has gotten to all of you and you are
being paid off somehow. If it's the former here is my submission.
It is clear to me that proportional
representation [PR] is clearly and hands down the best
system of democracy humans have been able to employ on a large
scale to date. Particularly if care is taken to not allow the
minimum percentage of votes to qualify as a party to be too
low.
Please folks, if this is your idea of a joke, it isn't funny. Do
the right thing for the province and your descendants,
and don't go STV. Recommend proprtional
representation.
