I am in support of proportional representation in our electoral
system. I believe this model is able to reflect the voting
population with increased accuracy. Being able to simplify the
voting procedure with one vote for a party and one for the person
to best represent your priorities allows me to feel less
compromised. In the past I have had to make very difficult choices
when I believed in a local candidate but not their party's platform
(or vice versa). Proportional representation [with
MMP] would allow my voting voice to be heard much more
clearly.
