 Establish an “Election Committee” (E.C.)

• The Purpose of the E.C. is to provide B.C. Voters with an unbiased authority and view on the Provincial Election system and all of the Running Candidates.

• The E.C. President is appointed by the Prime Minister.

• A Senior Council and Staff of people experienced in Politics are appointed by the B.C. Lieutenant Governor and E.C. President.

• Other employees must not have had anything to do with political fund raising or campaigning for the last 5 years.

• Volunteers are selected by mail draw, those who reply may help.

• The E.C. is supported by Taxes.

• Only the E.C. can do Political fund raising. Money collected throughout the years are put in High Interest Trust so the money can replenish itself.

• Only I Candidate from each Party can Run in a Riding. The Candidate running in the Riding is chosen by the Party Leader, if there is more than 1.

• An Independent Candidate must pay for 49° of their own Campaign cost and can not spend more than allotted the other Candidates. Full Reimbursement is granted if Elected. Federal fund raising laws apply.

• All Running Party Candidates receive the same amount of money from the E.C. to run their Campaign with.

• All Candidates, Party and independent, can only Campaign within 100 Days of the Election.

• All Candidates, Party and independent, receive their Campaign Financing 110 to 101 Days before the election.

• All Candidates, Party and Independent, must announce their intention to Run within 200 to 111 Days before the election.

• The E.C. Organizes all debates in all Ridings, Candidates can not miss any more than 2 Debates or be disqualified from Running.

• The E.C. is also responsible for all Referendums being voted on in the Province.

• The E.C. is responsible for monitoring the “fair play” of the Candidates. They must ensure against “Mud Throwing” and ‘Character Assassination” and must settle any disputes of the kind that may come up. Settlement of disputes can result in Fines towards Campaign funds.

• The E.C. must set up an Information Center for all Candidates with an unbiased synopsis of their Campaign Plans, Political History and a “Resume” to show their qualifications for Running. Also, their individual Polling Data and other relevant information to the Election.

• Candidates must submit Slogans and Promotional materials to the E.C. before the 100 day Campaigning section to ensure against slander or biasness against other Candidates.

• A minimum amount of Campaign money is to be established, if the E.C. does not have this much to evenly distribute to all the Candidates, a Grant form the current Government is to be requested before the 200 day announcement period.

• Any Election Reforms are to be submitted to and enacted by the E.C. itself and not the Provincial Government.
