Citizens' Assembly Member Profile

BARBARA CARTER teaches fine arts at a middle school and is Grade 6 team leader for the school. Before teaching she was a professional musician in voice and piano. Barbara is very involved in music and drama and directs musicals and dramas as a hobby, most recently a Christmas musical for the Salvation Army. Born in Toronto, Barbara has lived in B.C. since 1963 and resides in White Rock because of its lively arts scene. She has one grown son. Barbara also owns her own business Beaches Brew Coffee, a wholesale and retail roast organic coffee company. She is a director of the Kiwanis Club of White Rock.
