Constitution Act (British Columbia) This provincial constitutional document sets out
many of the rules relating to the operation of the
legislative assembly
and executive
government
in British Columbia, but
it is far from a complete specification of the operation of
government in the Province. Some of the rules relating
to the conduct of government can be found in other provincial acts
of parliament or official documents; others rely on accepted
practices which are not set out in formal constitutional
documents. These unwritten rules are sometimes called
constitutional conventions
. A copy of
the Act can be found on the Queen’s Printer
website:
Note that the web version of the Act may not include the most
recent amendments.
