Caroline Fader

CAROLINE FADER was born in London, England, and operated her own hairdressing business there until she moved to B.C. 38 years ago. She is a widow, has three grown children and six grandchildren and lives in Richmond. During her three-year term as president of the Variety Women of B.C., a submission for women to become full-fledged members of Variety Club was presented, and it was accepted by Variety Club International the following year. Caroline has been a board member of the Jewish Family Service Agency, the National Council of Jewish Women, and the Jewish Historical Society of B.C. She has worked for the United Way (as residential chair), the B'nai B'rith, the Diamond Centre for the Living, and many other organizations. She was nominated two years in a row for the YWCA's Women of Distinction Award. For the last 20-plus years she has been the editor of the Greater Vancouver Jewish Community Telephone Directory
