Sheila MacDermott
SHEILA MacDERMOTT, a physiotherapist in Penticton, recalls a
grade school teacher telling her class that voting is a precious
right and that a citizen's responsibility is to vote every time. "I
want to do something to help people value their vote and then
exercise their right to vote," she says. Born in Gray,
Saskatchewan, Sheila has lived in B.C. since 1973. She is a widow
with two grown children. Sheila is a member of the United Church, a
member of the Naramata Choir and a volunteer with a "healing-touch
group." Her hobbies are knitting, sewing, embroidery, reading and
gardening. She also enjoys her small dog and classical music
