Douglas Waller
DOUGLAS WALLER and his wife celebrate their 21st wedding
anniversary this year with their three children, ages eight, 14 and
17. Born in Vancouver, he has lived all his life in B.C. and
currently resides in Prince George. Douglas teaches junior high
school mathematics and environmental education. Douglas' community
involvements include being an announcer and public relations person
for WESCAR, a late model stock car association, and race announcer
for the Prince George Auto Racers Association. Douglas was also
president for seven years of the Prince George Radio-Controlled Car
Club. He is a former member of the Kinsmen's Club of Prince George
and a former member of the Elizabeth Fry Society. His hobbies
include flying radio-controlled airplanes, fishing and bird
hunting. Douglas is interested in the Assembly because of the
impact it could have on his students' future. These students will
be able to vote in 2009 when the Assembly's recommendation - if a
change is recommended - will be implemented.
