I cannot vote directly for the leader of the party of my choice. I suspect that this is a huge issue for a lot of voters as the reverse scenario is also possible (good riding candidate but a weak party leader). [1 page]

I cannot vote directly for the leader of the party of my choice. I suspect that this is a huge issue for a lot of voters as the reverse scenario is also possible (good riding candidate but a weak party leader).  I have a weak candidate in my riding for the party of my choice and do not feel he deserves my vote. Are there any proposals that may address this issue down the road? Two separate votes ?
