I haved lived in Langley for the past 8 years. During provincial
and federal elections I have felt frustrated by the reality that my
personal vote 'goes into the wind'. Since the riding I'm in votes
overwhelmingly in one direction (a direction I don't vote for), I
feel my vote becomes only a token of support, rather than real
support, for the party I do want to see govern BC. Therefore, for
BC, I strongly support the concept of proportional representation
as laid out in the MMP (New Zealand system). It would be hugely
satisfying to have my vote(s) actually count toward something.
Thank you for this Citizens' Assemby process.
