I would like to express my support for the Mixed Member
Proportional [MMP] system of voting. I believe that this
system is by far the fairest in that it most accurately represents
the wishes of the voters. Also, the voting system is less complex,
more straightforward and therefore more transparent. The transition
to this system of voting would also be relatively easy.
I strongly object to our present system of voting and feel strongly
that the Single Transferable Vote [STV] system is far
more complex and therefore less transparent, and produces a less
representative result. In short, the STV system has many flaws.
