Submission Content
On behalf of our group -- Indo-Canadians for Minority Representation -- I submit that democracy can only be best served with proportional representation of both different ethnic groups as well as political ideologies.

In India, some minority christian denominations are not likely to be represented.  The federal government allocates this group a seat in the Parliament as it does for representatives of the arts, sciences, etc.

In B.C., the large majority of the Indo-Canadian community is made up of Sikhs and they are fully representated by their all-Sikh MLAs in Victoria. Hindus form India, East Africa and Fiji are left out.
