Abstract
We need proportional represented so that all views are representated in our government. This could result in more minority governments but this may improve decision making and avoid wild swings between the two main opposing views. [1 page]

Firstly, I completely support the adoption of a proportional representation system for electing our MLAs. We need all views represented in our government. This may result in more minority governments but I believe this will actually improve the type of decisions made. Our present system results in wild swings between the two main opposing views.

I would like to see adopted in BC the type of proportional representation called "MMP" This is the type found in New Zealand.  I support this system because it not only produces a legislature that is truly representative of the way votes were cast but also has MLA's that represent individual ridings.
