I want to encourage the Citizens' Assembly to recommend reforming the election system to one of proportional representation, such as in place in countries such as New Zealand [MMP]. [1 page]

I want to encourage the Citizens' Assembly to recommend reforming the election system to one of proportional representation, such as in place in countries such as New Zealand [MMP]. I believe this is a more democratic and representative system and will encourage more participation in the electoral process. And although I believe that such a system will produce more minority governments, I welcome this as it would require more co-operation and consensus among different viewpoints. I am grateful for this chance to refrom the electoral system and I look forward to the recommendations of the Citizens' Assembly.
