We need proportional representation [PR] in this province in
order to give voice to those voters who are neither members of the
business community or have ties to labour. Our system results in
polarization ad infinitum, and causes many of us who take a serious
interest in expressing ourselves at the polling station to vote for
the party which is the least objectionable, not the one which
represents our views.
Such a change would inspire many more of us to become involved
in the political process and create a highly beneficial awareness
of issues important to our futures.
