I would like to support the Mixed Member Proportional
[MMP] system for BC for the following reasons.

The possibility of having fair representation of all parties
will invite back to the polling booths those who no longer
participate in voting because of the apparent uselessness of the
act.

Voting for a party becomes less important than voting for an
individual candidate whose platform and integrity appeals to the
voter.

Adopting a 2/3-1/3 MMP system will allow the constituencies to
be a size that will not alienate voters.

Fairer representation will not ensure, but it will encourage
cooperation between multiple parties rather than provide an
environment in which primarily 2 parties vie for power.

Fairer voting will allow smaller parties, without the financial
support of big business or big labour, to introduce new ideas and
broaden the public discourse of issues that affect us all.
