I would like to voice my support for the New Zealand model of
proportional representation [MMP]. It seems this would be the best
way in which the average person in BC could feel they are making a
their opinions heard.
I can't see a country calling itself a democracy when winning
58% of the votes gains 97% of the seats in power. The results of
such a system is somewhat like a dictatorship when the opposition,
or even the general public, have no way of influencing legislation
or policies which then become the laws.
