I would like to cast my vote for proportional representation to
be brought into effect in the province of BC (and in federal
elections as well, for that matter). We need to follow the example
of forward-thinking nations such as New Zealand and learn from
their experience [MMP]. It would not be hard to implement. Low
voter turnout in this province is a disgrace and is a reflection of
a system where people feel their votes do not count. This makes a
sham of democracy. Proportional representation is a much fairer
system.
