I very much appreciate the opportunity to contribute to the
discussions around this important issue. It is unquestionably the
time to reform the voting system in BC, and from what I have read
and heard I hope that we will have the opportunity to use the Mixed
Member Proportional system (MMP) here. I prefer this system because
it combines the system of local representation we are used to with
party proportionality. It does not trouble me that my electoral
riding might be larger -- it's the overall result which matters
most.
