Submission Content
I feel that without question we need a proportional representation [PR] system of voting to elect the BC provincial Legislative Assembly. The first system to consider is a mixed system in which half the members represent constituencies and the other half are named by the parties. I am happy to consider other systems, based on the experience of other jurisdictions, especially jurisdictions whose political background is similar to ours.

Whatever system is selected, it must have the support of a broad majority of the citizens, or it may get discredited later, before we have become accustomed to it and learned how to use it effectively. So there has to be plenty of public involvement even after the Cit. Ass. is finished its work.

Thanks for your good work.
