I would like to support proportional representation
[PR] as I have been involved in several elections where
the results did not reflect the wishes of the minorities at
all. Another byproduct of the majority vote system is
that the voter is discouraged from wasting a vote on the party he
or she may actually be most interested in voting for.
In BC the result has been radical shifts back and forth between the
socialist and capitalist parties with much disruption to both the
private and public sector.
Thank you for the effort you are putting into this study, it is
high time a new system of representaion was devised for this
perenially troubled part of the world.
