Abstract
The reason for electoral reform in part is that members and parties get elected with less than 50% of the vote.  The solution is to have run-off elections in ridings where no one has 50% of the vote, similar to the French system. [1 page]

The reason for electoral reform in part is that members and parties get elected with less than 50% of the vote.
 
The obvious solution is to have run-off elections in those ridings where no one has 50% of the vote, simply by voting a second time for one of the top two candidates, similar to France.
 
Proportional voting [PR] will create havoc during and after the election which I'm sure you have discussed.
