Representation by location does not represent the people's views
fully and limits the voter's choice. BC needs a
modified system of proportional representation [PR] which prevents
big cities from dominating rural areas. [1 page]

I wanted to write in to express my support for a better system
of popular representation in the BC (and for that matter federal)
voting system. Representation by location does not represent the
people's views fully. Also by location means less choice for the
voter as it leads to a smaller number of parties.
As we saw recently in the federal election, the Green Party
received around 4.5% of the popular vote but has no representation
at all in government. This is not right. This is not democracy.
Clearly we don't want to see a wholely PR voting system since big
cities would dominate rural areas. I suggest something along the
lines of what is posited here:
