I would support a Mixed Member Proportional [MMP] Representation system. This seems to me to be the best compromise that provides a degree of proportionality while still retaining a representative for a geographic area. [1 page]

Submission Content
Thank you for the incredible work the Assembly is doing to clarify the various types of voting systems available around the world.

Having read the material, and attended one of your information sessions, I would support a Mixed Member Proportional [MMP] Representation system. This seems to me to be the best compromise that provides a degree of proportionality while still retaining a representative for a geographic area. However I am concerned that even within MMP the election of the representative still appears to be by the "first past the post" system. I leave this problem for you to debate and resolve.

I am impressed by your commitment to this electoral reform process and look forward to hearing your final recommendation.
